Help,
I have boarded my loft out, well most of it using laminate boards smooth underneath, left 2 feet at the eves and breathing space at the ends. I created a new floor structure above the original using 3x2 timber lifting the floor above the insualtion by a good 2 inches. I have now noticed with the cold weather and the heating being on condensation under the boards, not all areas but a lot of it.
I'm worried and thinking about pulling them all back up now sice there are wiring under there...already pulled some insulation out fdrom under which was wet.
I have been advised I can put airbricks outside where the 3x2 runners are to create airflow, although this would need to be done both end of the bungalow and about 10 bricks a side.
Does this sound good or is there a better way to remove the condensation and from happening.
Im also sticking new air vents to the soffit for better eaves circulation.
How many vents is needed for a 36 long foot house, how far apart is needed on both sides of the house.
Can someone please offer advise?
Thanks
