Hi All,

I have to replace my mother's Grant Combi 90 boiler, its water jacket is leaking. I have to fit a condensing boiler, and need to know if it can use a conventional concrete lined chimney as a flue, as did the Combi 90. If not, what do I need to do to make the flue suitable?

Many thanks.

A Grant is an oiler. Viessmann did not offer condensing oilers in the UK last time I looked.

You can fit a new Worcester or Grant condensing oiler, both will need a flue liner, the current cement lining is unsuitable. If you get a Worcester installed by a qualifying installer, there's a 6 yr warranty at the moment.
