Hi,
I need to connect my 42 mm chrome plated pipe into a 50 mm t-junction waste. I have a 50 to 40mm reducer - the chrome pipe fits flush into this though it doesn't feel as secure as I would like - there is a small gap down the side of the pipe - though no space at all ( a very good join) where the pipe and reducer join. I could connect a compression coupling on either end though space is limited. Is there any way you could connect the 42mm chrome into the reducer without the coupling? Like I say it fits but don't feel steady. Can I apply a sealant or some LS-X to seal the join - will this be sufficient or is this a major no no?
As always grateful for any assistance .
