connect tv to laptop

hello,
i was wondering if anyone knows exactly what cables i need to enable me to watch video played on my laptop on my tv.
my hp laptop has a 7-pin s-video socket and my tv has a 4-pin socket,i believe i also need an audio cable.i'm not sure if you can fit a 4-pin plug into a 7-pin socket.
can anyone tell me what cables to buy,where to buy them from and what i need to do on my laptop and tv once i have connected them.

One option to connect to scart or they will have phono connector for the option you requested.

I connect my laptop to my TV via S-Video and Scart. The cable I bought has the audio cables attached and I just bought a seperate phono to headphone jack so that I can plug it in to the laptop.
