Replacing old freestanding electric oven (including ceramic hob) with new built-in double. Existing oven on separate circuit using 10mm cable wired to switch via terminal & protected by Crabtree Starbreaker containing MCB B50/61 & 63A double pole switch. New oven draws 6.2 watts max. Is it Ok to simply connect this to terminal using 6mm cable or will I need to reduce level of MCB etc.

I take it you mean 6.2KW max?
and by "oven" do you mean "cooker"?
is it still a cooker with a ceramic hob or what?

Sorry. Yes, I meant 6.2 KW & yes, it is a cooker with ceramic hob which is being replaced by built-in oven & separate gas hob.

you need 10mm² cable for the 50A cct, or you can use 6mm² and reduce the breaker to 32A..
one is notifiable to the LABC, the other isn't.. so just put the 10mm² cable on it.
