Hi there,

Looking for a union/branch/reducer (not sure of correct name) to connect my 1.5" (40mm?) waste pipe, from kitchen sink, to 3(?)" - '68mm' printed on the pipe - rainwater stack.

I replaced the old gnarled cast stack and guttering but can't find a white piece to make the said connection. Tried the usual outlets locally (Scotplas, Plumb Center, Graham etc with no luck).
I know the mixing of rain and foul is contentious but it's a Victorian property and has always been mixed.
There's no option to connect to a soil stack as the closest one's the other side of the house.
Scoured online forums for such an item but the conclusion seems to be that one doesn't exist. This surely can't be the case?!
Also, what do I need to connect the new uPVC stack to the remaining stump of cast at ground level?

Cheers. :D

No fitting exists to connect waste pipe to 68mm downpipe. Can either use option given above, or direct waste into a gulley. It sounds however from your description, like the downpipe goes straight into the drain, i.e. no gulley, so make sure it isnt running to a soakaway before connecting a waste into it!

Look at 'Fernco' couplings for connection of uPVC to the cast.
