connecting soil waste to cast iron

have a prob connecting pan outlet to cast iron. the cast iron has a flared neck (female cast connector) which is about 7 inches wide... that is to say standard pan connectors are too slim to effect a seal... any suggestions???

cannot get access to grind off and use a pann connector extension piece either!!!
 
7 inches! Are you sure?

What's the internal diameter of the CI pipe?
 
Wonder how he measured it :oops: That`s a built in flange for the orig. WC outlet....Circa. 1and half inch allowance for gaskin + red lead putty :wink:
