I'm using windows 7 and connected to my wireless router using the automatically connect option. If i take my laptop to friend's house, can i set it so it connects automatically to their wireless router too, or will i have to re-set it to automatically use my own router when i get home?

If you (left) click on the Wireless Network icon in the System Tray, that will show Available Wireless Networks. When at your friend's house, select his network, and input his Security Key. When you return home, you may need to re-select your Wireless Network, but should not need to re-input your Security Key.
