Hi,
I hope someone can advise me.
I am having a conservatory built onto my property,it will surround a small rectangular bay which will be taken down.

The old bay floor is at the same level as the room it projects from almost at DPC level.

I want the finished floor i.e.tile with underfloor electric heating mat and tile backer in the conservatory to be at the same level as that fo the house.

Can I therefore reduce the height of the old bay floor with a concrete ginder so as to incorporate it into the finished conservatory floor.

What I don`t want is the finished floor to be higher than the house due to having to finish the base to the old bay level.

As the house is built on a raft I don`t know if there is steel in the bay floor.

Thanks

Hi,PlanningandBuildingRegsMa's,

Thanks for your reply.

Here are a few images of work in progress, the bay will be removed and the floor integrated into the new base.

Don`t know if the bay floor is screeded or not so may have to grind off concrete to be same level as finished conservatory base.

Is this feasible.

Thanks

MalPC
