consumer unit heights

Hi

Wonder if anybody can help,

is there a maximum height for mounting consumer units?. Its to be mounted within an equipment room.

If so is there a regulation that somebody can point me towards

There are no guidelines for this, however common sense should always be used and the consumer unit/distribution board should be accessible in the event of a fault or work needing to be done.

Generally I would not put one within 200mm of a cieling.
