I am doing the above as the fitting is designed to have a surface flexible cord, but I want to bury it neatly in the wall.

It currently is using an LED R50 spot lamp with SES cap.

Plan to fit a 0-50VA TRANSFORMER (let them bleat) so want to replace the R50 with a similar lamp but running on 12V.

Can't find a 12V lamp with SES cap but can find an adaptor to convert SES to GU5.3. or GU10.

Do you reckon using one of these lamps would be OK heat-wise in the fitting?

Cheers.
