Hi there,

I have a newly built detached tandem double garage with eaves space which I intend to convert into a photographic studio for my wifes business.

1. Do I need planning permission to carry out this project? (No change to external building structure will happen)

2. What type of stud wall inside the garage will suit, metal or wood?

Electrics no problem as my father is an electrician.

Thanks

Dave

you will not need p.p.

wood studs will be ok.

back tracking slightly as i have just read the whole story, strike the first comment.

i'm not so sure about the p.p.

i guess if you will require off road parking or any signage, then p.p. may be needed.

Many thanks Noseall,

I have a driveway off the public road to the garage and do not envisage using advertisment.

Should be Ok. Do you know what department within PP I would have to contact to be sure?

Dave
