Hi

Can anyone make any suggestions to help reduce the rattling noise in the ducting I've just put in for a new cooker hood.

There was previously no extractor at all so I've put in a cooker hood and run rectangular ducting across edge of ceiling to extreior wall. It all works fine but theres a rattling noise coming from the ducting.

I'm wondering whether its because I've gone from the round to rectangular type of ducting immediately above the hood or whether its because I have over three metres of ducting or will sealing the joins help??

Any tips please !!

Surely it would not be too hard to find the location of the rattling!

Once you have found it then you may need
- silicone for loose joints
- proper duct clips that are made to secure the ducting.
- duct tape, screws, nails, etc etc

all depends on how its laid out.

No, it's because something is loose and rattling.

I have just cured a rattle on my van.
It was something loose and rattling.
