cooling fan diahatsu hijet

does anyone have any idea why the cooling fan of my diahatsu hijet van wont come on. i have had a look but not sure why its not operating

Look underneath, and on the bottom of the radiator you will see the fan control switch. Pull the 2 wires off and join them together, switch on the ignition and the fan should run. If it does, it's the fan switch, if it doesn't, it's either an electrical problem (fuse etc.), or the coolant is not circulating into the radiator, but this will be causing your engine to overheat. Cooling system problems/overheating are well documented for this vehicle, I know because I have one !!!
