Copper pipe

Agreed, unlikely to be 3/4" copper, seeing as it's 40 years ago we went metric.
 
For the hard of thinking;
We went metric with copper pipe in 1972. Imperial copper was called 'pipe' as it was ID, but metric copper 'tube' is OD.
So if you have 15, 22 & 28mm copper, it's called 'tube'.

You're clearly cutting your copper tube too close to the frost damage, where it's expanded.

Always amazes me the poorly informed advice that's given out on this forum. The poor DaftyDIYers are so confused............. :lol: :lol:
