We have had central heating pipes embedded in the concrete floor of our kitchen which is being refitted. The new radiator was fitted last week and I was surprised at how hot the floor is along the line of cement covering the pipes. We intended to have Amtico flooring and we are now worried that it won't be suitable.

personally i would of placed them in a pipe duct.
they'll probably be pin holed in a few yrs from the screed floor.
