Hello,

We’er going to tile the floor in our kitchen and dinning room. There’s a bit of floor between the two where the pipes for the dinning room radiator go just under the floor (I think it’s plaster over them).

I was going to lay some concrete over the top ready for tiling. Do I need to do anything to protect the pipes first?

Yes, they need protecting, otherwise you may find yourself having a leak on one later on in years.

How should I protect them and what with? I’m reticent to dig around them as I don’t want to damage them. If I leave them as they are will the heat cause any problems for my tiles?

Overlap them with Denzel tape .
Don't cover with concrete unless covered as it will eat into the copper (reason the last person used plaster ).
Tiles should be fine .
