Just thought Id ask if anybody could help me find out where I could get a copy download or something of these British Standards ??
Would be most grateful ,,,,, Thanks

I would be very surprised if you could download BS books somewhere; they are copyright protected, and very expensive.
I paid 50 quid for a copy of 7671, which you are obliged to get. Not planning to pay another 50 for updated version, so if you really can find a site where you can download them legally, please let me know.

The link displayed above is just misleading spam to try to get you to install dodgy software

BS docs are def available via computer, i worked for a massive construction company and on out internal intranet we had every BS doc that both domestic and commercial guys would need as we needed them for reference to ensure all multitrade guys were complying, they paid an absolute fortune for the licence but it is available, when i left last year i never thought to copy them for reference for myself  as they are copyright and i am a nice guy.
PS if anyone wants to ask a question on the regs i have a good memory so could prob remember the relevant info

Pretty sure they are available on cd as well, but any download will be illegal as far as I know.
Then again you never know; statutory instruments are free to download but cost money to buy.

I can download BS ok. Put your email address in your profile Pedro. :)

You can download many BS documents via your local libraries.

I can log on to BS online via my library using my library card number and download many docs.

They are print protected, but thats easily removed as there is no password to it.

Unfortunately 7671:2008 is not available for public download.

Has anyone got it in electronic format yet?

Don't think you will find a copy of it as a PDF unless someone has privatly scanned it.

I am a member of BSI and this is one of the standards not available in electronic form due to copyright reasons. Copyright is not owned by BSI but, I think, IEE.

that is interesting.
Never thought of that and assumed all bs where copyright by bsi.
assumption is indeed the mother...

AlanE is correct, I contacted them a long time ago querying if it was available in electronic form. IEE won't allow it & certainly wont allow them to have it available for library users to download.

I'd have a printed out copy by now id they did :D
