Correct glue to attach glass clock face to solid brass clock

Can anyone recommend a glue to attach a glass clock face to a brass clock,

Will a daub of clear silicone sealant do the job ?

this looks just the job......silicone sealant would look messy....if your clock is valuable, its prob worth fixing it properly..

Hi,

I had to get the job done and used very sparse application of clear silicone sealant all the way round the edge of the glass, applied with finger. Barely any put on. Job done !
