Correct type of shower screen for tray with upstands

Want to upgrade our ensuite and replace the current shower enclosure with something more modern. The tray has upstands on 4 sides and is tiled into the wall, so I'd rather leave this in situ and fit new screens. The current enclosure has 2 sliding doors - it would be good to change this for something that doesn't have the dirt trap between the upstands and the doors and screens at the bottom - is it possible to fit a hinged door or something different, or am I stuck with this style? Any comments appreciated...

should be able to fit a hinged door. see range at http://www.qualitex.co.uk/home.html.they have merlin trays with 4 upstands and make no mention of special screens/doors needed.
