can someone please give me an idea of what sort of labour cost i should
expect if i were to change a normal boiler to a combi and take out
the hot water storage tank.
This not a price comparison site and there are many things that influence a boiler install call three local gassafe registered companies ang get them to quote
The cheapest is not always the best! The package will be designed for your particular needs, how can any one on forum give you a figure ,what would they base it on or just like i did above pluck a figure out of thin air
Whoever gives you a quote on the phone. Don't use them
Whoever quotes you a combi without even testing the supply. Don't use them.
Whoever says they will need to upgrade the gas line to 22mm without doing any calculations before hand (even though in most case this is a reasonable assumption). Don't use them.
Don't use British Gas
Unless your new boiler location is with a metre of your gas meter, you will almost certainly need at least 22mm to a combi. Go for a higher output and you could easily be looking at 28mm
