Has anyone ever managed to open one of these to expose windings and remove rotor?
If so how?

bloody hell whats got your goat!, only asking a question and trying to help, and I wont be hunting one down to pull it apart either (but it will disassemble) but for the size of them and price surely your not thinking about repairing the windings!!![]()
As you might guess, I have an obsessive interest in how things work.
When I was 10 years old we had a class exercise where we asked a question for another kid to answer. ( That was before internet and needed real library looking in BOOKS to find answers. Those were the days! ).
My class question was how does a gas meter work! Of course just a coincidence but it shows how I was intreagued by that box under the stairs.
