so, I have a problem with the fitting of a new 2 GANG 2 WAY switch - Does anyone know HOW to wire up from COMMON fitting to L1, L2, L3 fitting - my dilema is complicated by several more red wires than black!!!
MY FITTING CURRENTLY HAS one cable with 2 REDS, ONE RED each connected to L1 + L2, another cable 1 RED 1 BLACK, the RED from this one is connected to the COMMON on the same side as the afore mentioned L1 + L2. the BLACK from this cable is connected to the L2 on the other side, yet another cable with a RED and a BLACK, this time the RED is connected to ANOTHER RED OUTBOUND cable - and the BLACK is connected to the COMMON ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE OTHER BLACK!!

HOW DOES THIS CONFIGURE TO A SWITCH WHICH NOW HAS NO COMMON BUT 2 SETS OF L1,L2 AND L3!!!
any suggestions welcome!!

common is L1 on crabtree

L1/L2 are L2/L3, doesn't particularly matter which way round they go.

and oh, 1 way will be between L1/L2
