Hi all,

I have a crack behind the radiator in the corner of my kitchen, which is in the extended part of the house. The house is Victorian.

You can fit your fingernail in it and it travels from the window seal, behind the radiator and down to the skirting board.

Should I be concerned?

Thank you

No weight on the sill vs the walls. Ground moves so wall under sill is first to move. It's why tiled sills crack sometimes.
Seen crack like that today so I filled, but if It was my own I'd take rad off and fill properly.

I should of added. Sewer pipes were put under bays with no compacting and settlement is a problem, however it stops. Could be that

Yes there is a sewer pipe nearby so could be. As long as it has stopped. I'm sure it has been like that since we moved in 2 years ago. Only just worried about it recently

Here are pics of the outside wall. Weird vent that has brick behind it. Unsure why they painted it.

Above the window there is another slight crack.

All been the same since we moved in.
