We have a large china serving platter dish which had some cracks in the glaze. Unfortunately it was stored on top of one of the kitchen cupboards and the collected grease has soaked into the cracked glaze and spread through the underlying porous china.

Any ideas as to how to restore this?

cant.

since its under the glaze it will stay there

any cracked food grade "pottery" should be binned, "bad bugs" can also live in the cracks
