I've started to redecorate a room, after removing the fitted wardrobes that were there before hand I noticed a long horizontal crack along the wall.
when knocking the crack it sounded hollow, I've since removed part of it to find a large crack behind the plaster, the substance is greyish in colour with hairs in.
Is this a major problem to fix or common to find? The house was built in the 1930s. I've attached a couple of pictures to help.
