Crazy hotpoint aquarius WMF940

Hi desperate to sort this as its for my mam. She doesnt have much money to replace and didnt register the warrenty when she bought it last year.

Im a boiler engineer so am hoping I might be able to fix this myself with help from a hero n here.

The washing machine first went wrong when it just kept filling and the timer didnt count down. We just changed the setting to pump out and then set it away again. It worked fine for a few days now. It gets to the stage where it rinses tyhe clothes and gets no further just keeps rotating and not counting down.

Any ideas HELP PLEASE

Have you checked the pump / filter. Does it keep on filling above the door bowl , does it wash ok.

No I havent checked those things, it does wash ok eventually after alot of switching on and off. It just seems to stick at certain points in the cycle.

When it filled up alot it did get full right up the door (It has done this twice)

It also just stopped and just kept rotating and the timer stayed the same

Do you hink clearing the pump/filter may help?

Poss , just see if it's blocked.
