I live in a bungalow which has 3 bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a hallway. 80% of the rooms floors creak like a man with a wooden leg. How do I sort this kind of problem ?

I can confirm that I definitely have chipboard panels and they look like they are nailed down in places. How do I solve the creaking issue?

Good sized screws at 200 centres over every joist/joint. Not guaranteed even then but should help. Don't hit any pipes/wires

Dun - yep, right next to the nails but before you do make some educated guesses as to pipe and cable runs below. Located position of radiator and don't screw at pipe positions parallel along the wall or straight out from the wall, ditto with any leccy sockets. This is NOT a fool-proof method of avoiding stuff below but'll give a better than even chance of missing them; obviously, the best way to avoid damaging stuff below is to lift a board across the width of the room and peer below with torch and mirror but this is almost impossible with chipboard panels
