Hi, i have a Creda Debonair Compact tumble dryer model 37305. It is a few decades old, but has worked fine until this week and it fits the space we have so don’t want to scrap it just yet.
When I rotate the timer knob to switch it on, there is a kind of buzzing noise but no rotation. Hot air flows fine though.
I’m hoping its just needing a belt. Can anyone help with procedure for this before I just remove all the screws.
The top and sides are all one piece. On the front there is a top panel housing the high-low rocker, and the timer/on/off rotating knob. At the bottom there are four screws on the plinth panel.
On the back there are a bunch of screws round the edges and some in the middle of the panel.

I would not expect buzzing if the only issue is the belt.
You almost certainly get to the guts by removing the back

Thanks tiger, it was indeed the belt.
The back panel turns out only gives access to the heater and blower.
The front lets you into the drum, the motor, tensioner etc.
