My mother has a Creda cooker (electric), apparently the model number is 48364 (yet I can't find this model number on the Internet).

I need to replace the element.

Can anyone suggest a source for a suitable replacement element please?

Edit: I got the model number wrong! it's a 48364, NOT a 48634.

So, next question - online I can only find one type of element. Does this element provide heat for both the top oven as well as the main oven? It's just that I can't find a separate element for the top oven.

I can't easily just check this either as the cooker is at my mother's place a hundred miles away.

If it's the small oven it uses the grill elements plus one under the floor,if it's the main fan oven it uses just the one.

Yes, it's the small oven.

So just to be on the safe side, for the small oven I would need to replace the Grill Element:

and the Base Oven Element:

but NOT the Fan Element:

is that correct?

If so I'm thinking that it might be easier just to call in an appliance engineer. :)

Also, does it use two Grill elements?

True, but the only experimentation so far has been done by switching on the top oven, so I guess what also needs to be checked is whether switching on the causes the RCD to trip (which is why I want to replace the faulty element - sorry, should have mentioned that in my first post, ie that when the top oven is swtiched on the RCD trips and apparently the usual cause of such an issue is a failing element).

If it trips when you put the grill on change both grill elements, false economy to change one.If it trips when you put on the top oven bringing the base element into play then it will be the base element.
