Creda T522 Tumble Dryer Door Interlock

I thought that it was just the door latch cover that had been broken (thanks to son & football) on my Creda tumble dryer.

I took the side panel off and the switch assembly back plate and sping loaded level were on the bottom of the dryer. These fit back together ok.

I also found a piece of thin clear plastic strip like a plant label, round at one end pointed at the other and 55mm long by 13mm wide. (It's a bit difficult to photo)

It could be from the switch assembly but I can't see how it would fit.

Anyone know what this is ?
