Creda Tumble dryer - tumbling but not drying

My Creda tumble dyer (ten years old) is tumbling ok but there is no hot air being produced - just cold. Therefore, the clothes aren't drying.

Is this a case of the heating element having blown or, is it just that it's very old and has 'had it's day' ?

Unplug appliance and check the the thermostats. You can find these by removing the heater cover at the rear. You will probably find one is open circuit. All you should need is new stats.

Agree with scotsman. Always change both of them too. These will blow if you didn't let the machine go through its cooling down cycle at the end of use.

probaly little thermistor (silver) replace it.
