How d9 u know 8f u got spare connectors in consumer unit or h9w. Do u add them I want to run power to a shed ...so I guess u need a box next to consumer unit and one in the shed

Since a new circuit is notifiable, you don't need to know. The cost to use the LABC (local authority building control) is eye watering, so the only real way is to use a scheme member electrician if coming from the CU (Consumer unit).

Coming from a FCU (fuse connection unit) depends where you live, England and Wales is different.

What is d9, 8f, h9w and u? Using initials is OK if some where you say what they mean. QSL

9 =O
8 = I
u = you
I think his shift key has been sticking or typing too fast and not reading before posting

I want electric in my shed .... armoured cable from the shed to the house ..how many junction boxes needed and how you know how to find a spare feed on consumer box ?

External circuits are best left to the pros and I suspect you might need a new cu too

Any chance you could post a post of your existing Cu?

Thank you @jj4091 had not considered a phone with predictive text, so long ago.

OK lets look at the simple first, a pair of adaptable boxes with a bit of 15 amp connector strip in each to move from flex to SWA, a 13 amp plug two SWA glands, and a drill to put hole in the house wall, and junior hacksaw to make off gland, plus Stanley knife, and shed end a switched fused connection unit (FCU) with 3 amp fuse for lights, and a 13 amp socket for the power, job done.

After that you are looking at new circuits, and all the registering which goes with it. And if if we would break the law, we can hardly tell you to break the law.
