Two single storey flats, one on top of the other. Entrance doors are on the gable end. Way into the ground floor is a door on the right. Way into top flat is a door on the left, turn hard right, and climb the stairs that in effect run up the inside of the gable wall, turn hard left and you're in. There's no internal door separating the main flat from the stairs.
Now, both flats nice and toasty warm, but that stairwell is unheated and prone to condensation on the gable wall.
What's the best way to reduce the condensation? Rad at the bottom of the stairs to heat the air and reduce condensation? Fitting a door at the top of the stairs to reduce air movement might be an option, but doing so would dramatically reduce the amount of natural light.
Anyone solved a similar situation?
