Hi
I've accidentally cut the wire to my panic alarm button located in my bedroom.

The alarm is a Advantage ZX6 model.

I have the code to stop the alarm but everytime I reset the system the alarm goes off again. Is this to do with me cutting the wire?

The strobe light outside is also continuous which I need to stop as its driving the neighbours crazy.

Do I need to do something with the wires upstairs?

I'm an amateur so as much help as possible please.

Thanks in advance.

Join the cut wires back together. For a temporary repair a connector block will do or just twist them together and cover each with tape. Obviously join the colours like for like (red to red, black to black etc) where you have cut it.

A more permanent repair can be achieved by soldering the wires and covering with heatshrink tubing or using a tampered junction box.

You should be able to reset the alarm once the wires are fixed unless a fuse has blown. Let us know if you still have a problem after the wire is repaired.
