Cutting Cast Iron Soil Stack?

Hi,

I wrote a post yesterday on this but it's disapeared, anyone know where it's gone?

Anyadvice on cutting into an iron soil stack to join in a kitchen waste? Can I cut section out or cut it off a foot from the ground and join on a plastic soil from the remaining cast iron?

Apologies if this is a repeat post but I have searched and searched for my old one and it's gone!!
