Cutting fibreglass cloth safety

I've got some fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin, which I'm going to use to fix a broken umbrella spar. Looks like this.

Should I use a mask and goggles when cutting and using this type of fibreglass? And if so, what type of mask?

Any advice much appreciated.

A normal paper dust mask should be fine for a small amount.
Wear gloves as well. Rubber disposable ones
