Dado Rail End Capping

Hi. Can anyone give me instructions on how to cap the end of a length of dado rail where it meets a window on my stairs?

I have seen a few videos. It seems simple enough to cut a small piece to cap off the rail but the rail I want to cap is running down the stairs at 45 degrees and I just can get my head around all the angles required so that it finishes vertically

you cant change directions on two planes at once [diagonal and round a corner] as the diagonal profile is around 40% longer the usual is perhaps 4 inch transition piece for the return edge to the diagonal

Thank you. In the end, I did a bit of saw and sanding work and made my own decorative end.
