I've got the roof on my extension now and it's all been covered for a couple of weeks now. Underneath the wall plate at both ends parts of the top course of celcon blocks is that patchy dark colour they go when they're wet, with patches of white efflorescence. As you may know I'm no roofer, but I'm confident it ain't leaking, and there's a massive soffit overhang.
I guess it's just struggling to dry out fully in the damp weather, the cavity is full fill dritherm, no mortar blocking it and a cavity tray a few courses below. When I put my hand in the dritherm feels a bit damp.
Is this a big issue, I guess I shouldn't be dabbing plasterboard up any time soon?
And I know I should have covered it up when it rained

If it's not going dark right after rain then it's not a leak and just drying out. It's not ideal to get insulation wet, but in a small location such as that, it's won't matter much. It won't stop you boarding and skimming.

Thanks woody, I'll keep a close eye on it.
I could also try and pull out some of the insulation as the last bit was just to top it up to ceiling level

I got the tops of my insulation wet. I think it's par far the course when you're doing a painfully slow self build. Either that or consume a volume of time sheeting up each night. Initially I was worried that it'd gone slightly matted but now that its dried out it's returned to delightful fluffiness, so I'm not too worried about it.
