Hi,

I've got a damp corner in one groundfloor room which looks like it's been repaired previously to to subsidence. However this corner is very damp and is leaving a salt like residue around the edges. Anyone know if it can bee easily repaired or does the whole floor need diggin up and a new DPM installed?

I really won't comment on the subsidence, as it's years since I dealt with that side of things. The salt like substance is exactly that. It will be salt from either the plaster or cement/concrete and will indeed be caused by damp/water. This certainly needs serious investigation and I would not look for a quick fix.

Cheers Woody, do you know if it is possible to repair just part of a concrete floor or does it need to be completely re-done?

(I know, nothing to do with the thread, I'm sorry, won't do it again :D )
