Hi,
Hoping for some advice please, we have the cold air coming of this walk in the shelves in a cupboard (green x). It’s leading to a cold cupboard and mouldy clothes :(
The shelves are quite deep and we don’t really use them, so happy to fill them up with some insulation seal. Can someone please give me some advice on best way to insulate it? Would some rock wool work? Or foam board? Just want to stop that cold air getting into the cupboard.

Really appreciate any advice, am a complete novice DYI’r!

Insulation might work but leave an air gap. The backs of the shelves are against wall so they can’t “breathe”. That might cause longer term problems, you can check them from time to time.

No, though the wall is the back wall of a side return with not a lot of sunlight. The guttering has been bad in that area so it been wet and not drying out well. Solved the gutter issue, waiting for walls to dry out. Just thinking to have that wall insulated so the cold air doesn’t hit the clothes or get into the cupboard so easy, and was thinking some insulation would solve that?
