damp in flat, problem found?

Hi Guys have a damp problem on my flat comes from the ceiling down on the exterior side it just so happens it corresponds to these extrusions on the exterior wall please see the picture, i guess thats the cause of it? . so whats best way to cure this please? some kind of tanking paint or cladding or something else? many thanks.

The projections are called "String Courses" & are mainly for a decorative effect.
Water often pools on top of them.
Sometimes a fillet of sand and cement is shaped on the top of the SC to shed the water - but a better solution is a lead, or lead effect, flashing over the SC.

That would be the first solution to try - although its possible that the render is failing, and work will have to be done to the render.

If you post photos of the interior damp then it might be possible to advise you further?
