Any advice appreciated on this odd damp problem I have.
Obviously some repair has been attempted externally on the render in the past.Is the cement absorbing water just on this repair? I have already removed the side gate and added some sealer around the edges where the single bolt fixing is attached. There are a couple of other spots internally. And what looks like rising damp above the chimney breast, or pentrating? Note the chimney flue, which seems to indicate it can't be rising, As there's no brick below, is actually directly behind the damp patch. The wall looks like internally and externally rendered with sand and cement, then a plaster skim.
Link to pics. Thanks!
