The other day I noticed after I had repainted my bedroom that there was a visible damp patch on the outside wall.
I used an Amazon dampness meter and it's showing as wet on some areas on the wall.
When I looked outside I can see it seems to be directly or very close to an air brick.
When I bought the house we just plastered over the internal airbricks.
We also got wall insulation done.
I have seen some videos on YouTube that suggest many wall insulations were botched.
I am thinking it rained over night and possibly water has got in via the airbrick?
Or maybe it is the guttering leaking?
Also with this airbrick not being sealed doesn't that mean that all the spray foam insulation will be getting damp?
I seem to be having lots of DIY issues this weekend..
