My house must be the draftiest in England. We can't have Cavity Wall insulation as apparently the cavities are not deep enough - anyone ever heard of this?
Anyway, we have airbricks on the walls upstairs - one in the bathroom and two in the toilet (at foot and high level). There are also airbricks on the outside of the wall that match up - to allow air to pass outside I guess.
The previous owner has placed a thin plywood cover over the internal airbricks - to prevent drafts I suspect - but they let a hell of a lot of cold air in. Could I remove these air bricks and brick up the gaps, but leave the external air bricks on the outside wall alone?
