hey all,
Right so i decided to convert my loft.... i have a end terrace house stone front brick side wall. before i bought the house the previous owners had a new roof but they used tar flash band instead off lead, i now have had lead fitted.
i been in my loft and the brick gable end wall was all fungi etc and its seems the gobbo has turned into dust im assuming and hoping this was due to the water been able to run down the gable end wall due to there been the flash band.....
my question

I wanna play on the safe side, should i damp proof the gable end wall or just dot n dab it????

i am think im gonna dot n dabs it instead off the old brown n plaster
If you guys think i should damp proof it whats tenique should i use? ie bitumin etc
Any advice would be appreciated kind regards barney
