Hi me again, same wall - further down.. (Lintel post a few days ago)

The wall has been a bit moist, but cleared for rising or penetrating damp.
However it bit still have limited ventilation in a cold corner so advice is to tank the stonework and re-render with waterproof additive.

Any suggestions for products? Damp man (not literally) said they use 'Vandex'. Also on an old stone wall what sort of sand:cement mix would be best?

Best tanking i've come across is K11 by Sovereign. Their office would advise on local approved contractors for quote (01229 870800). It's simple and quick to apply.

On the render i use plastering sand & cement with water proofer 1st coat 3:1 ~ 10 mm thk 2nd coat 4:1 ~ 8mm thk. then skim with finish plaster.
