Hi everyone.
We've got a problem with our bay window and I was hoping someone would be able to offer some advice.
When we have times of bad weather we get a damp patch appear under one of our windows in the bay. Paint starts to bubble up and flake away. The window it happens under is a top hinged, outward opening jobs type.
There are drainage holes which seem to be working ok. I can tip water down them and the water trickles out on to the sill and away from the window.
However, the drainage gap outside has a bead of silicone sealant in it. None of the other windows in the house have this sealant and also don't have any damp patches.
The last two imaged are upsidown and my tablet won't rotate them.
Damp
Drainage channel with sealant.
Drainage channel without sealant and no damp under window.
Thanks everyone.
