I currently have a Danfoss RMT230 thermostat (wiring diagram below)
Current wiring arrangement:
- Grey (blue sleeve) wire (Neutral?) goes to 4 N
- Brown wire (live?) goes to 1 COM
- Black (brown sleeve) wire (switched live?) goes to 2 ON.
- Green/yellow striped wire (earth?) has a termination block on it.
With the replacement electronic thermostat, Danfoss RET-M the wiring diagram is:
Assuming that I have the wires correctly identified on the RMT230, I believe that the wiring arrangement should be:
- Grey (blue sleeve) wire goes to N
- Brown wire goes to 2 COM
- Black (brown sleeve) wire goes to 4 ON
- Green/yellow striped wire goes to earth (not shown on wiring diagram but there is an earthing point on the back plate.
However it looks as though there should be some connection made to L?
