I recently fitted one of these, I got it cheap as NOS.

It has a rechargable battery inside, as mine has been on the shelf for about 6 years the battery appears to have deteriorated and will not hold its charge for long.

Does anyone know how to change it?

TIA

Sorry, I don't...

However, bear in mind it needs to be connected to the mains for a good 10 days before the battery is fully charged, and then it'll only hold the memory contents for around 2 weeks in the event of power failure.

Don't expect it to keep the display on either - afaIk, all the battery does is keep the info stored, not actually operate the machine.

For info, anyone finding this old thread

For this Danfoss programmer, it is a Varta Mempac battery, rechargeable. The tube shaped one with a bright green wrapper.

Various other batts for other purposes, in various shapes and capacities.

When I looked at the pic I easily recognised mine.
